Another month, another strong line-up for the PlayStation Plus free games. For the month of May, players will be able to jump into the heart of battle, dodge cars from every angle, and attempt to survive a “treacherous paradise”.

As with every PS Plus line-up since the release of the PlayStation 5, players will be able to enjoy two PS4 games (that also work through backwards compatibility on the PS5), and one PS5 only game. The May line-up includes:

Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last (PS5)

From the creator of FlatOut, get ready to throw away everything you know from traditional racers as you “burn rubber, break rules and shred metal in this full-contact racer”.

Upgrade your “patched-together” car to race better and improve your chances of surviving the neck breaking crashes and fights that will take place before the finish line. If you are after a more “relaxing” time, take part in the Challenge mode where players will be able to get behind the wheel of a crop harvester, three-wheeler, a soft car, and much more.

Wreckfest will be the PS5 version. However, PS4 owners can still claim the game for their library using the PS App.

Battlefield V (PS4)

Head all the way back to World War 2 with the latest title from the Battlefield series. Choose to experience the World War properly with the single-player War Stories, or fight alongside your friends in the various multiplayer modes.

Stranded Deep (PS4)

Be prepared for your survival skills to be tested with this open-world adventure that will see you attempt to survive after a mysterious plane crash.

“Alone, without any means to call for help, you must do what you can to survive. Explore underwater and on land as you hunt for supplies to craft the tools, weapons, and shelter you’ll need to stay alive. Stay sharp: hunger, thirst, and exposure conspire against you as you brave treacherous elements and the dangerous creatures of the Pacific.”

The games for the May line-up will be available to download on PS4 and PS5 from the 4th of May until the 31st of May.
