The latest Fortnite content update is here and with it comes the latest weapon addition, the Burst SMG.

The new burst-fire SMG will allow players to “pack a real punch in close quarters encounters” and will deal 23, 24 and 25 damage (common, uncommon and rare variants). With a 24 round magazine and a 1.75x headshot multiplier, this new weapon will help you shred opponents at close range before they have a chance to react. Additionally, the Burst SMG will utilise light ammo and will be available as floor loot, from chests and from vending machines.

With the latest addition, certain weapons will be vaulted which this time includes the suppressed submachine gun.

In other minor changes, players enjoying Team Rumble will now be able to land at 4 hot spots in each match. The change has been made to ensure that each side has at least 1 hot spot to land at and will be a “temporary fix until we can set up functionality to force the same number on each side in big team modes”.

Save the World has already received some new additions including the new Fossil Southie hero and Hexed. Hexed is a brand new wargames simulation where players will be “cursed when the simulation begins, and must activate ancient statues to remove the effects”. For those that enjoy playing Hexed, it will also mean an increased chance of receiving Event Tickets, a new banner and a wider variety of Daily Quests!
