New Updates For FIFA 20 Pro Clubs Announced

After the recent announcement of certain features coming to FIFA 20, many believed that this year would be another year without any proper changes to the Career mode and Pro Clubs.

But in the latest Pitch Notes from EA, they have announced some updates to Pro Clubs, a “much-loved mode for many of our players”.

The first big change coming to Pro Clubs will be customization. For many, perfecting their virtual pro is the most important aspects of the game mode. Having a large variety of hairstyles and colours to choose is vital so with FIFA 20, EA has introduced a brand new system to replace player creation (this will be across the entire game and not exclusive to Pro Clubs).

“This feature will bring new ways to design your Virtual Pro's visual characteristics via an improved 4 quadrant axis morphing tool which not only allows you to morph and define each facial feature to your liking, but to also go further than ever with added morphing options and skin tones.”

It won’t be a complete overhaul though as certain aspects from the current system will be brought in as well including commentary names, goalkeeper gloves and even choosing preferred celebration styles.

After a few complaints from the FIFA community, a few new positions have also been added to ensure that you have “more control of the way you develop your game on the pitch”.

The new positions that you will be able to choose from include LF/RF, LW/RW and RWB/LWB.

“These newly added positions are also accompanied by a revitalized player progression system within FIFA 20, where choosing between different positions, heights and weights will now have a deeper impact on how your Virtual Pro moves and feels, with these choices affecting all of your Pro’s physical attributes.”

But that’s not it. The next major update to the game mode is broadcasting. A few features have been implemented that includes replay transition wipes, on-screen watermark, club banners and even a brand new Pro Clubs logo.

One small change that will definitely be loved by many is that once a teammate scores, the camera won’t automatically zoom in to the scorer but will stay zoomed out so that all players know where they are and can coordinate celebrations.

Also being introduced are two brand new match types – House Rules Cups and Practice Match.

House Rules Cups is similar to the House Rules match from the Kick-Off mode A match type will rotate every day, with a different cup playable each weekend. Practice Match will allow your club players to practice individually or as a team against AI with the ability to choose the difficulty that will range from beginner to legendary.

“Another hot topic in the Pro Clubs community is Kit Clashing. This year we have added over 25 new customizable kits and over 150 crests to choose from.”
