Call Of Duty WW2 Ranked Play Has Arrived

Ranked Play has arrived for Call of Duty: WWII with the first season kicking off at 10AM PT on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Ranked Play will allow gamers to be matched up "with opponents of similar skill and compete in 4v4 matches, also known as 8s, in game modes like Search & Destroy, Capture the Flag, and Hardpoint with eSports settings enabled". Similar to how ranked games work in other games, players will earn points when they win which will allow them to progress through different tiers, whilst losing a match or rage-quitting will result in you losing points.

Players will have seven tiers to progress through: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Masters. "Once players are in Masters, the top 100 players by tier points will be recognized in the Pro tier at the end the season". Gamers will also receive exclusive helmets as you reach each tier which you can "use permanently in Ranked Play and Multiplayer".

Any gamers that decide to leave a match early will also be given a temporary ban with the 1st offence resulting in a 15-minute ban, the 2nd a 30-minute ban and the 3rd a 45-minute ban.

"The Placement Season that starts tomorrow is important to establish players’ MMR-based starting tier for Call of Duty: WWII Seasons 2 and beyond. It also gives us the opportunity to ensure that all Ranked Play functionality is solid and delivers the best experience for players. Please note: Initially, party functionality will not be available at the start of Season 1. While the Placement Season is crucial to building our individual MMR player database, we will be enabling parties in Ranked Play soon."

Will you be playing some ranked games?
