The world of ARK: Survival Evolved has become even bigger with the release of "Aberration", the game's second expansion pack.

The expansion pack will see players in "an elaborate underground biome system" and face "exotic new challenges unlike anything before: extreme radioactive sunlight and environmental hazards, ziplines, wingsuits, climbing gear, cave dwellings, charge-batteries, and far more, along with a stable of extraordinary new creatures await within the mysterious depths". Players will also need to beware of the "Nameless", "unrelenting, Element-infused humanoids, which have evolved into vicious light-hating creatures, and the Reapers, massive alien monstrosities which can impregnate foes to spawn their offspring".

The expansion pack will allow players to tame new creatures including a "camouflaging chameleon-like 'Rock Drake'" or even a male Reaper which can be obtained by allowing the "horrific 'Reaper Queen' to impregnate you". Players will also be able to craft 50+ unique items ranging from gliding wingsuits to ziplines which will allow players to "traverse this new ARK". But if it's a challenge that players are looking for, "ARK malfunctioning, earthquakes, radiation exposure, gas leaks, and Element chambers are among the many hazards that survivors will learn to grapple with Aberration’s varied biomes, both aboveground and below the surface".

Aberration will be free to download and play for ARK Season Pass owners and will be $19.99/£15.99 as a standalone expansion for Xbox One, PS4 And PC/Steam gamers. Will you be trying the new expansion pack?
