I need something similar to Crusader Kings II I want to control a royal family or just a kingdom for a longer time, make a family maybe, I like The Guild too, I might download that but I need something newer? Any suggestions?

Well, I read Crusader Kings II. Maybe you will like other war games - Hearts of Iron IV, Making History series and Europa Universalis.

I know HOI4 and EU but never heard of Making History series, I might try those out as HOI is quite hardcore and I prefer CKII to EU4.
