In a time where the smallest detail matters to many, we might have the next thing to be absolutely outraged about.

The gaming world may not be split between what platform they use for long as the latest debate fires on ahead – what do we call the bottom button on the PlayStation controller. The majority, of course, call it “X” but there is a whole world of people that like to refer to it as a “Cross”.

And it seems even PlayStation has got involved because the majority of gamers are wrong! We’ve been wrong our whole lives because even PlayStation refers to it as a “Cross”. The information was shared as a reply to a tweet that claimed: “anyone who says cross is a cop”. PlayStation UK decided to hit back by saying that “if cross is called X (it’s not), then what are you calling Circle?”.

It wasn’t long before the charts and graphics started coming out. @SIECrimson on Twitter decided to explain the difference between “Exes” and “Crosses”.

Don’t worry though. It seems that if you refer to it as an “X” then you’re in the majority as shown by the current poll that PlayStation is running on their Twitter page. Make sure to vote to share what you call it!
