Valentines Update Announced For Fortnite Battle Royale

Posted Feb 09, 2018 by DarthHazard

Epic Games has released the patch notes for update 1.4.2 which contains some themed items for players to celebrate Valentine's Day.

The patch, which went up yesterday (February 8), brought various gameplay changes, bug fixes and various limited-time cosmetics to the game. The most exciting addition this patch is the introduction of the Crossbow, which has received a Cupid-inspired skin and ammo. And what makes this Crossbow more interesting is that it has infinite ammo so you can fire away without a care in the world.

And as with every update, a whole load of brand new cosmetic based items are coming to the game including a Cherub skin, a pink teddy bear skin and a teddy bear glider. The items are yet to be added to the in-game shop although we should be seeing them as we get nearer to Valentine's Day.

Various different fixes and changes have also been made for both the Battle Royale and Save the World modes of Fortnite. The most important changes are for the Shooting Test #1 Limited Time Mode which has now been made to Solo only and the Scoped Assault Rifle will now be 100% accurate (when zoomed in) and will no longer have damage fall-off. This should make the Scoped Assault Rifle a much more popular choice, with users previously ignoring it whenever they came across one.

The full patch notes for the update can be found on the Epic Games' website. Are you looking forward to trying out the brand new Crossbow?
