Far Cry 5 will see players standing up to the doomsday cult "The Project At Eden's Gate" in Hope County, Montana. But you won't have to go at it alone. Ubisoft, during its Paris Games Week showcase, confirmed that the entire Far Cry 5 campaign would be playable alongside a friend.

Players will be able to fight against the enemies of Hope Country with a friend once they have finished the initial tutorial. Called, "Friend for Hire", the player will appear as their custom player character and "can fight alongside you throughout your adventure, seamlessly dropping in and out as needed with full voice-chat communication". Playing alongside with each other will also allow you to share ammo and health packs.

“If you invite a friend to join your game, you'll still discover the world at your own pace. Only the hosting player will be able to accept missions, recruit and command Guns for Hire, and keep the progress you make in the world. Your friend, meanwhile, will get to keep all their progression as a player, retaining any cash, guns, perks, or loot they earn (with the exception of items unlocked by missions) while fighting alongside you. ”

Players will be able to join the resistance against the cult on the 27th of February 2018. The game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Will you be joining the fight against The Project At Eden's Gate?
