Sony Reveals New PS5 Logo At CES 2020

Hype was slowly gathering as Sony prepared to talk at CES 2020, with many believing we would get our first proper glimpse at the upcoming PlayStation 5. But what fans got, in the end, was a brand new logo for the console.

The event which took place on the 6th of January, hours after more pictures of the PlayStation 5 dev kit and DualShock 5 were released onto the internet by a cleaner.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a little longer for some more news and official pictures of the PlayStation 5. Sony PlayStation President Jim Ryan unveiled the brand new PlayStation 5 logo, ultimately deciding that a long wait for the design, release date and price would have to do.

And that logo hasn’t changed much from the PlayStation 4, with Sony opting to simply replace the four with a numerical five. This won’t surprise many. After all, why change what works well.

Jim Ryan did confirm that we should expect some big news regarding the console very soon –

“There’s plenty to share about the PS5 in the months ahead. And we look forward to sharing more details, including the content that will showcase the platform and the future of gaming.”
