As we get closer to the end of Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward has released some much-wanted details about the upcoming season.

Season 3 will include a large amount of content, both at launch and as we progress through the season including new experiences, modes and much more. And so you don’t forget, Infinity Ward have once again made sure to give prominence to the fact that this update will be “FREE!”.

Alex will be joining the Operators of Armistice as he joins the “ongoing battle in Verdansk”. Gain access to him as an operator by purchasing the Season 3 Battle Pass.

As requested by many, quads will finally be made available in Call of Duty: Warzone. That means you can finally get that fourth friend into a lobby. This will be available for both the Battle Royale and Plunder game modes.

“Drop into Quads, available for Battle Royale and Plunder, allowing you to team up with up to three players for a squad of four. Teamwork becomes even more essential for victory in Quads, as losing a member – or three – of a squad will stack the odds against you even further. In Plunder, collect more Cash faster with this expanded fire team that can help you complete Contracts more proficiently or tactically eliminate any opposing teams.”

Warzone is set to get a lot more game modes and playlists through Season 3. This includes “Scopes and Scatter Guns” which will have you fight it out to become the winner with just snipers and shotguns.

Players should start to see a lot more variety with ground loot. Every weapon type will now have a silenced and non-silenced variant. This will allow “squads to kit themselves for silent operations… or for that final “guns blazing” shootout at the end of a Battle Royale.”

Three new maps will be arriving for Modern Warfare Multiplayer including Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill, and Aniyah Incursion. Aniyah Incursion, as you can guess from the name, will be an area based on the central palace in Aniyah Palace.

As ever, the Battle Pass free tiers will include two new weapons – the Renetti handgun (Tier 15) and the SKS Marksman Rifle (Tier 31). Also available for free will be a handgun blueprint, an assault rifle blueprint, a legendary sniper blueprint, 300 COD Points and some other goodies.
