Rayquaza Arrives On Pokemon Go For Limited Period

Posted Jul 31, 2019 by DarthHazard

Pokemon Go trainers will have a chance to capture the legendary dragon and flying type Pokemon for a limited time period.

Rayquaza lived for hundreds of millions of years in the ozone layer, having only descended to put to bed the clash between Kyogre and Groudon. And it seems his reappearance in Pokemon Go comes at the perfect timing with the recent activity of both Kyogre and Groudon.

Trainers will begin to see Rayquaza in five-star raids from the 31st of July 2019 (around 1PM PDT) until the 2nd of September 2019 (around 1PM). And if you’re extremely lucky, you might come across a Shiny Rayquaza for the first time during this period!

And if you do manage to capture the normally reclusive Pokemon, make sure to keep an eye out for its weaknesses that include Ice, Rock, Dragon and Fairy type attacks. Additionally, Rayquaza has a “quadruple weakness to Ice-type attacks, so be sure to have Pokémon with those attacks ready when going into battle”.

The reappearance of Rayquaza isn’t the only good news for Pokemon Go trainers either. The storage cap for the amount of Pokemon you can store has been increased from 2,000 to 2,500.

Are you looking forward to capturing the legendary Rayquaza? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
