Operation Void Edge Unveiled For Rainbow Six Siege

Posted Feb 16, 2020 by DarthHazard

Year 5 of Rainbow Six Siege is almost upon us and Ubisoft has just unveiled what content we can expect from the first season.

Season 1 of Operation: Void Edge will introduce to new Operators into the game and will also see a current map from Rainbow Six Siege, Oregon, reworked for the new year.

The first season will kick off sometime in March, with a date to be revealed later. Void Edge will, however, be going live on the test server from the 17th of February.

The first operator to arrive will be Oryx. He will be the first Jordanian Operator to be made available in Rainbow Six and will have “Remash Dash”, which will allow him to knock enemies flat on their ass and also breakthrough any regular walls. Oryx is a defender though and will be able to climb through any hatches.

The other operator will be Iana. This attacker is able to create a single hologram that can move around the map to draw out any defenders. It can be used by players to gather some important intelligence and force any defenders to give away their location.

As with previous seasons and years, this time around, Oregon will be reworked for 2020. The map will have some work done to introduce some more access points, feature more breakable walls and provide a bit more open space.

You should expect a lot more information soon, with Ubisoft promising some more information during the Six Invitational panel.

Are you looking forward to the first season of Year 5? And will you be trying out the new operators when they are made available? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
