Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Beta For PS4 Confirmed

Posted Jun 18, 2019 by DarthHazard

Capcom has announced that PlayStation 4 gamers will be able to play the Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World early with access to a beta.

The first beta will launch on the 21st of June at 11 am BST and will end at the same time on the 24th of June. This first beta for the Iceborne expansion will only be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The second beta will kickstart on the 28th of June until the 1st of July although this beta will be available to all PlayStation 4 gamers.

Both betas available to PlayStation 4 gamers will feature three quests and monsters including the Great Jagras and two newer monsters (Banbaro and Tigrex). Banbaro will be a brand new brute wyvern that will arrive with Iceborne. Tigrex, on the other hand, has previously featured in Monster Hunter games but will be a brand new addition to Monster Hunter World.

Players that complete the three quests from the beta will unlock “a total of three item packs containing helpful consumable items that will be available to use in the full version of the Iceborne expansion when it releases”.

Players wanting to try the Iceborne expansion won’t be required to own Monster Hunter World or pre-order the expansion itself so will only need to simply download the game and try out the game when the beta periods begins.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will launch for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 6th of September and will arrive later on PC this winter.

Are you looking forward to trying out Monster Hunter World: Iceborne? And will you be playing the beta on the PlayStation 4? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
