Since E3, players have been anticipating the much-awaited release of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on the Xbox One as a timed exclusive. But designer Brendan Greene has now confirmed that Microsoft Studios will be the official publisher of the Xbox One console version of the game.

What does this mean for players? Well, the Bluehole studio will now have additional resources from Xbox which should hopefully help speed up the development phase and should mean that any potential delays are avoided.

For those that are not aware of the game, PlayerUnknown's puts players against each other, starting with nothing, players must fight off others to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to become the lone survivor. The game is still currently in the beta phase on PC but Greene has revealed that 8 million copies of the game have been sold since the game's release on Steam in March 2017.
