Microsoft Announces Xbox Series X Gameplay Debut

Microsoft is steaming ahead of Sony in relations to the next generation of consoles and has just announced that players will be able to get a first look at some upcoming Xbox Series X games next week.

The announcement came from the official Xbox Twitter account which revealed that a stream is set to showcase gameplay on the 7th of May at 8 AM PT. Players will be able to get a first look at next-gen gameplay from global Xbox developer partners. And that means we are unlikely to see any gameplay for games from first-party studios.

We won’t know about the exact developers set to showcase their games but we do know so far that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay will definitely be shown.

Players may get their first glimpse at first-party games later on in the summer, with Aaron Greenberg, the general manager of Xbox Games Marketing, hinting at it.

This will be players’ first look at what the Xbox Series X will be able to do. So far, we’ve been told what the technical specifications look like, what the actual console looks like and a look at the controller. Sony, on the other hand, has been somewhat slow with the news on the PlayStation 5, with fans still waiting for a look at what the hardware will look like.

Are you excited to see some Xbox Series X gameplay? And what new announcements do you think will be shared during the stream? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
