Mario Kart Tour Multiplayer Confirmed For 8th March

Players have been waiting patiently for Mario Kart Tour Multiplayer and that wait is now over, with Nintendo announcing that the game will be getting multiplayer this weekend.
It’s taken them a little while longer than we wanted but players will be able to play with up to seven players either locally or online from the 8th of March (11 PM ET).
Players have already had the chance to test out a multiplayer game mode when it was made available as a beta testing phase for players that had purchased the Gold Pass. There was a second beta phase that was open to all players in January. But it will finally be available as a permanent free update for all iOS and Android players.
The multiplayer mode will feature Standard Races which will allow players to enjoy an “ever-changing set of in-game rules”, whilst playing locally with friends will allow you to set your own rules. Gold Pass subscribers will be able to enjoy Gold Races which will feature “faster speeds that require advanced kart manoeuvres”.
Mario Kart Tour has been marred by criticism of it’s over the top microtransactions featured in the game. However, that did not stop it from being the most-downloaded game on iOS in 2019 and making over $86,000,000 through in-game monetization.
