The latest annual Halloween event on Overwatch has begun and it almost caught fans by surprise with Blizzard only posting a teaser mere hours before launching the event.

The event will give Overwatch fans the chance to unlock some skins, emotes, and more and has also seen the return of Junkenstein’s Revenge.

Players will need to win games in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or the Arcade to be able to unlock certain rewards. The first week will have an Inferno Player Icon available when you win 3 games, an Inferno Spray for 6 games and the Inferno Junkrat Skin at 9 wins. These rewards will be available from the 15^th of October until the 21^st of October, with a new set of rewards available in Week 2 and Week 3.

Junkenstein’s Revenge returns once again to Overwatch during the Halloween period and will see players team up with three other players to “defend Adlersbrunn from a host of haunting horrors, including Junkenstein and his Monster, the mysterious Summoner, the bloodthirsty Reaper, and the devious Witch of the Wilds.

There are several new event skins available as well.

The Halloween Terror event kickstarted on the 15^th of October and will be available until the 4^th of November.

The event comes at a somewhat troublesome time for Blizzard who has been facing a huge backlash from gamers and politicians after punishing a player in a tournament for backing the Hong Kong protests. It also resulted in Activision Blizzard Inc. canceling a recent New York launch event for Overwatch.
