Fortnite Hosts Diplo Concert In New Party Mode

Fortnite released a brand new part mode recently and players have already been able to enjoy a live Diplo concert. During the event, Diplo performed a live Major Lazer set and the event also featured a few appearances from Jordan Fisher.

The brand new game mode, called “Party Royale”, will see the removal of all weapons and building. Instead, players will be able to enjoy a smaller “experimental and evolving space” at ease.

Players are able to gather paint guns and vehicles from around the map, all of which are non-lethal, and allows them to have a bit of fun whilst exploring the small island. Additionally, phone booths are dotted around the small map that allows you to change your appearance at any time.

This is not the first concert in Fortnite though. Last week, Fortnite held multiple Travis Scott concerts which managed to amass a total of 12.3 million concurrent gamers, which beat the record for its previous and first-ever event which featured Marshmello. That previous record had 10.7 million concurrent gamers.

Players that missed the first event were able to enjoy a re-run of the event a little while later. Players that missed the re-run will need to check the YouTube video below to enjoy the full concert gameplay.
