Epic Games has finally announced the brand new mode that they have been teasing players about. The new "50 versus 50" mode will see two teams of 50 pitted against each other in one massive battle.

The new game mode is the first unique mode to be added to Fortnite and adds something that players have been asking for years for Fortnite's rival, PlayerUnknown's Battlegorunds. Unfortunately, the game mode is timed limited and will only be available from the 8th of December to the 17th of December, although the developers may rethink this if the game mode proves to be popular amongst it's players.

The game mode can be launched by picking the 50v50 playlist and players can jump into the mode as a solo player or with up to three other friends. Players will be put into squads as in any duo/squad match and communication will be limited to those in your squad. And it seems Epic Games' has been listening to some concerns from players with friendly fire having been turned off for this game mode.

And this won't be the last mode for Fortnite either, Epic Games' promised that they will be "running additional event playlists and limited-time modes to spice up that Battle Royale action in unique and different ways". Have you tried the new game mode yet?
