The Witcher: Monster Slayer, a spin-off mobile game based on the Witcher, is now open for early registration for interested players on Android.
The augmented reality game has opened up registrations as part of their early-access soft launch phase of the game. The game, developed by Spokko (also a part of the CD Projekt brand), will be available on both Android and iOS when it launches. However, right now, it is only Android gamers that will be able to enjoy the game early.
Akin to Pokemon Go, The Witcher: Monster Slayer will see users play as Witchers to hunt down the foul creatures that “roam the vast lands of the Continent”.
“Set long before the time of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is an augmented-reality exploration game that challenges you to become an elite monster hunter. See the world around you transformed into the dark fantasy realm of The Witcher, and explore once-familiar locations now infested with dangerous beasts as you start on the path as a professional monster slayer.”
Don’t expect a friendly and calming experience similar to Pokemon Go as players will need to fight gigantic, life-size monsters in first-person, with an RPG-inspired combat system ensuring that your decisions will impact the result of the battle.
As you progress through the game, players will be able to gather the bloody trophies that help mark the beasts that you have slain. And if it is a story that you are after, the story-driven quests will help you navigate through different adventures that will see you become an elite monster slayer.
Whilst early access isn’t guaranteed to all players that are interested, players can sign up on the official website with their Google Play registered email to ensure they have a chance of getting into the game early.
