Discord To Remove Free Game Library From Nitro

Discord has announced that the free games library that has been available for Discord Nitro subscribers will be scrapped from next month.
The free games benefit to subscribers was introduced last year and allowed Nitro members to play a selection of games without any additional charge including SOMA and Limbo. Unfortunately, this will not continue in the future as it seems that many Nitro members simply don’t play the games available to them.
In a post on the official Discord blog, they stated that “it became clear that while we and some of you these games, the truth is the vast majority of Nitro subscribers didn’t play them”.
The free games will be scrapped on the 15th of October 2019. Any players that did love the games and are disappointed about the removal have been advised to cancel their Nitro subscription if they wish. Furthermore, refunds will be available for doing so.
But it’s not all negative news. The Discord team will be looking at doubling down to ensure that Nitro has “more features, fun and enhancements”.

It's sort of unbelievable for a company to abandon a "money-making scheme" instead of doubling down and trying to force its customers to use the service they clearly have no interest in. Kudos.

To be fair, most the games they offer nitro subscribers aren't really all that great xD Perhaps if they offered worthwhile games people would be playing them. With that said, people buy nitro for the discord perks not the games :P
