As we continue to recover from the festive period, the Christmas spirit continues on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with a whole host of special events and modes.

Two brand new game modes have dropped – Snowfight and Drop Zone. Both games modes will be available until the 31^st of December at 10AM PT. Snowfight is a special variation of Gunfight that will see players use snowballs to battle other players. Instead of weapons, players will need to use snowballs that can be collected from around the map to eliminate their opponents. Drop Zone will see players rewarded for playing the objective. As you continue to hold onto the drop zone, Care Packages will be delivered to your location that allow you to use Killstreaks.

A brand new Bundle has also arrived on the Call of Duty Store. Dubbed “Mad Chemist”, the bundle features a special Chemist skin for Krueger, a “Final Countdown” watch, two tier skips, a weapon blueprint, a Legendary handgun weapon blueprint and more.

In other smaller updates to the game, players can now choose which trial they want to play. Instead of being provided with a random trial, a new menu has been added that will allow you to pick the trials you like.

A few changes have been made to audio and footsteps. The audible range of 3^rd person footsteps have been reduced and the occlusion of footsteps have been increased.

If you received Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as a Christmas present, you still have time to enjoy Double XP and Double Tier earn rate that is currently active. This accelerated progression will be active until the 27^th of December at 10AM PT. And when this ends, players will be able to enjoy a tier sale in the Store to speed up their progress.
