Apex Legends Patch 3.1 Adds Duos & Firing Range

Posted Nov 06, 2019 by DarthHazard

Apex Legends has received a patch (3.1) and with arrives some great new game modes including Duos and even a Firing Range.

Unfortunately, anyone who loves to play Duos with a friend will only be able to between the 5th of November and 19th of November as it is only a limited time mode. This will replace the Fight or Fright mode that has been available for the past few weeks.

Also arriving with this patch is the Firing Range. Players can enter the firing range and practice with their favourite weapons, items and Legends. You can either play as a solo player or play in the Firing Range with your squad. Players will have access to “all loot items” and will be able to shoot some target dummies.

As with most patches, a few changes have been made to some weapons in the game. The Wingman has had its headshot multiplier adjusted from 2.15 to 2.1. Changes have also been made to projectile collision, with the projectile width being increased on some weapons to that they are “easier to hit with”.

If you’re tired of the Daily Challenges that you have been dealt, rejoice, as players are now guaranteed to get 1 easy, 1 medium and 1 hard daily challenge. You can also use your Legend Tokens to reroll any Daily Challenges that you do not like.

Players can also now see what ammo types of their squadmates weapons in the inventory menu. This should provide a much easier and quicker process to share ammo quickly with squdmates.

The ranked mode has also had a small change made to it. Players that leave after 2.5 minute after their Banner was picked up after dying will not be punished anymore. If you leave through the menus, you will now get a warning if you try to leave before the 2.5 minute limit.

A few bugs have also been resolved to provide a better experience for players. An issue where players could drop into Out of Bounds areas without getting the timer has been fixed. Additionally, a bug where “players would stay in place while the train keeps moving when reviving another player” has been resolved.

Are you happy with the additions and changes made with the Apex Legends 3.1 Patch? And will you be trying out the Duos mode? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
